  • ABEND04E RC00C90207 in DSNIOW ERQUAL5003 while doing a
RID list scan.  RID list scan incorrectly uses a deleted pointer
record to look up an overflow record causing an abend as the
overflow record is no longer there.                  (d75121)

When a query using RID list scan to retrieve an overflow record,
Db2 incorrectly uses a deleted pointer record to find the
overflow record. Since the record deletion has been committed,
Db2 runs into a failed sanity check during the lookup of the
overflow record.

Problem conclusion

  • Db2 RID list scan logic has been fixed to skip a deleted pointer
record when the deletion has been committed.
