PI90843: RDZ LPEX EDITOR DISPLAYS REAL-TIME SYNTAX ERROR IN A COBOL SOURCE FOR A VALID TABLE COLUMN OF AN EXEC SQL INSERT INTO STATEMENT
Fixes are available
Closed as program error.
In Rational Developer for z Systems (RDz) v18.104.22.168, using the LPEX editor, an "unresolved reference" is reported by the real-time syntax check for a COBOl source with a valid table column name in an SQL EXEC INSERT INTO statement. Here is an example of the statement: EXEC SQL INSERT INTO TABLE1 (column1-var) <<-- unresolved reference to column1-var VALUES(:H-column1-var) END-EXEC. The same issue can be reproduce using RDz 22.214.171.124.
Use COBOL editor to display the source.
The code for handling SQL INSERT statements was not correct.
Incorrect code for handling SQL INSERT statements removed. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V126.96.36.199 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
