    ****************************************************************
01.COBOL continuation characters not properly handled.
02.Multiple INCLUDE statements within a EXEC SQL statement
       causes error
03.The code review application for z/OS execution time for
large copy libraries is significantly longer than for small
       copy libraries.
04."An inline PERFORM statement cannot exceed the specified
line number limit" code review rule can miscount the number
of lines in an inline PERFORM.

Problem conclusion

  • 01.Modified COBOL parser to properly handle continuation
       characters.
02.Modified parser to handle nested EXEC SQL INCLUDE
       statements.
03.Modified the code that searches copy libraries for copy
books to cache the location of copybooks that are found,
reducing the amount of searching that the application needs
       to do.
04.Modified the rule so that it correctly counts the lines in
       an inline PERFORM.
