PI87389: RDZ 9.0.1, INTERMITTENT IGZ0073S ERROR MESSAGE IN ENTERPRISE SERVICES TOOL WEB SERVICE COBOL CONVERTER (BOTTOM-UP)

In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) v9.0.1, the generated COBOL converter for Enterprise Services Tool (EST) web service with bottom-up approach may result in the following IGZ0073S error: IGZ0073S A non-positive reference modification length value of <xxxx> on line <yyyy> was found in a reference to data item <VARIABLE_A>. where xxxx, yyyy, and VARIABLE_A correspond to the user scenario information. Additional symptoms: in CICS you may receive: DFHPI0002 A severe error (code x'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx') has occurred in module DFHPITL. Dump showed a program check -0C4 had occurred, in routine TRAILING-XML-MARKUP parsing the XML.
In the COBOL converter, manually add the line highlighted with <<<<<<< before the end of the following ELSE-IF section: ELSE IF (INSTRUCT-AREA-LEN + LENGTH OF INSTRUCTION) > (INSTRUCT-BUF-COUNT * LENGTH OF INSTRUCTION) .... .... SUBTRACT LENGTH OF INSTRUCTION FROM INSTRUCT-BUF-WK-ADDR <<<<<<< END-IF . FREE-INSTRUCT-BUFFER.
