Error description

  • If you select help on this page of the compare wizard it states
    "Always treat OLE objects and pictures as different" The wizard
    cannot compare pictures. If you select this option, then objects
    that contain pictures are not matched."
    
    On certain data where pictures are completely different the 2
    objects with pictures are paired even though option "Always
    treat OLE objects and pictures as different" is selected.
    
    Steps to reproduce.
     - Sample data required
     - Restore .dpa and in module B select the compare module
    functionality
     - Leave all other options as default but make sure option
    "Always treat OLE objects and pictures as different"  is
    checked.
     - The compare tool matches and links the 2 objects that inc
    pictures.

Problem conclusion

  • This has been resolved in the DOORS 9.6.1.10 release.
