PI83825: WITH IBM IDZ AND RDZ 9.5.1, THE DATA EDITOR COLUMN ALIGNMENT IS SLIGHTLY OFF WITH NON-DISPLAYABLE CONTROL CHARACTERS
Fixes are available
Closed as program error.
With IBM RDz 9.5.1 running on Windows 10, with certain source files that include control characters, the data editor column alignment is skewed. Even when a mono-spaced font is used, the alignment is not corrected. The non-displayable characters are currently using U+25AD (white rectangle character) instead of U+25A1(white square character) causing the slight misalignment.
The font width of the character 'U+25AD' used for non-displayable character in the z Systems Data Editor was not monospaced in Windows 10 even when one of the monospaced fonts was specified.
The RDz client was fixed to use 'U+25A1' which was fixed-width character in Windows 10 instead of 'U+25AD'. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V18.104.22.168 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
