PI82269: IBM DEVELOPER FOR Z SYSTEMS V14.0.0.4 - DEFAULT PORT 8001 BEING USED INSTEAD OF THE DAEMON PORT FOR THE DTCN PROFILES

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IBM Developer for z Systems V14.0.0.4, the Remote CICS
  Application launch uses port 8001 when no port is specified in
  the Advanced Connection Options for generating the DTCN
  profiles. Until the issue is fixed, the user can manually update
  the port number through the DTCN transaction panel
  

Local fix

• - Logon on the CICS region terminal
  - Invoke the DTCN transaction
  - Update the port number according to the Debugger daemon port
  number of the client

Problem conclusion

• The Remote CICS Application debug configuration was fixed so
  that it automatically detects the port that the debug daemon is
  using so that the remote profile (DTCN) is correctly updated.
