Error description

• In Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.1.1.4, a
  threadpool process may
  appear with a timeout status after an abend with error:
  
  CEE0802C Heap storage control information was damaged.
  
  A CEEDUMP may show a traceback like:

     existing log files are truncated, abend 0c4 sometimes
     occurs.

Problem conclusion

• 01.Not to close the file pointer that causes intermittent
     abends, the host module is updated to call ftruncate()
     without removing the files and to change the timing to
     restart the subsequent log output.
