Error description

  • In IBM Developer for z Systems V9.5.1, when using "-" as a
continuation character to continue a string on the
next line in COBOL source, there is a difference between the
COBOL compiler and the COBOL editor. When there
is no string following a continuation character, the COBOL
editor gets out of sync and is not able to interpret
the source anymore. The COBOL compiler, on the other hand, is
more tolerant and only gives a warning.
