Error description

  • When exiting IBM Rational Rhapsody, the rhapsody client may not
    check in licenses it has checked out. In some cases this can
    lead to license checkouts being "stuck" on the license server
    for unknown amounts of time.
    
    This issue can be seen by checking license checkout status on
    the IBM Rational License Key Server using the "lmutil lmstat"
    command. If the command is run with -a or -f {Rhapsody client
    license type} immediately after exiting the rhapsody client the
    license may still appear checked out.

Problem conclusion

  • Rhapsody now checks in all licenses, which were checked out in
    its session. It is done during its exitting.
