Error description

  • Rational Developer for System z 9.5.1.2 LPEX NUM function leaves
    0 as right numbering on BIDI Visual comments.
    
    When editing a member in LPEX using CARMA Endevor enhanced edit,
    function NUM leaves 0 as right numbering on BIDI comments when
    BIDI setting host text attribute is set to Visual.
    
    This problem also does not happen outside CARMA enhanced edit.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Lines length with LRMs was calculated incorrectly.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The difference with RSE occurred because "bidi-ness" was
    determined incorrectly in CARMA.
    Also mechanism to set Bidi marks to ensure correct rendering of
    lines with line numbers was improved.
    
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.6 Fix Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
