APAR status

Error description

  • In RDz 9.5.1.2, comparison between two Endevor elements does not
    work properly with Bidi language.
    Scenario:
    - Enable BIDI development on RDz preferences:
    - In CARMA Repository extract an element to a project
    - 'Compare with latest from Endevor' action
    - Wrongly differences are found in the compare screen result
    regarding lines which contain Bidi language.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • An unnecessary parameter is checked before making Visual compare
     available.  This parameter is never set.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The unnecessary check is disabled.  An only criteria to invoke
    visual compare is a checkbox in Preferences -> Bidi Development.
    
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.4 Fix Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
