Error description

  • It seems that while editing Rhapsody diagram elements, other
elements seem to be being updated with the "Last Modified Time".
This causes a lot of updates being picked up by RTC CM and
indicated as changes, but (of course) when you view the changes
via diff merge there are no changes identified. This causes a
    lot of confusion.

Specifically, if you have a constraint element existing in a
package. This constraint element is 'used' (dragged and dropped
into a diagram) in multiple sequence diagrams in packages below
the package that contains the constraint element and is anchored
to one or more messages in the diagrams.

Whenever you anchor the constraint (the constraint either
pre-existing in the diagram or by dragging and dropping the
constraint in a new diagram - that is it is the anchor that is
causing the update not the 'using' of the constraint) to another
element and save) then it seems that Rhapsody 'touches' and
updates the 'last modified' value in all the diagram files that
also contain the constraint thereby marking all these files as
'changed' so RTC creates a large 'unresolved' folder containing
    all these files.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed by preventing of other diagram to be marked as modified
when an anchor is added in another diagram.
