APAR status

Error description

  • User has RDz v9.1.1 with a data set with management class
    #ABCDEF. Whenever he create a new data set using allocate like
    option the new data set management class always defaults to
    #IMMED

Problem summary

  • When RDz shows "New Data Set" wizard with selecting "copying
    characteristics from an existing data set" option or "Allocate
    like" menu, data class, storage class and management class of
    the existing data set are not set as the default values for the
    new data set.
    

Problem conclusion

  • RDz client is updated to set the class strings of the existing
    data set as the default values for the new data set.
    
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.5 Fix Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
