IDz 14 /RDz 9.5.0 COBOL real time syntax check marks PARAGRAPH as error. When adding the following definition the user gets a Real Time Syntax error stating: "Parse Expected instead of this input". 01 PARAGRAPH PIC x(8). Compile does not flag this definition as warning or error Note that Enterprise COBOL has added EXIT PARAGRAPH as a statement. This means that in that situation PARAGRAPH is technically a special context sensitive keyword.
PARAGRAPH COBOL word being flagged as an error because it thinks it is a keyword.
PARAGRAPH keyword was not set as a soft keyword. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V220.127.116.11 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
