PI72540: RATIONAL DEVELOPER FOR SYSTEM Z V126.96.36.199 - REAL-TIME SYNTAX CRYPTIC WARNING MESSAGES WHEN MULTI-LINE LITERAL IS CODED
Fixes are available
Closed as program error.
With Rational Developer for System z V188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206, Real-time Syntax Check displays cryptic warning messages when a COBOL program contains an incorrectly coded multi-line literal. The problem doesn't exhibit any particular pattern. In some cases, several valid lines are flagged with cryptic warning messages while other invalid lines have no warnings. There are also several references to fields in a copybook that are not resolved, but these statements are NOT flagged with warnings.
Find and correct the multi-line literal causing the error condition and the invalid warning messages will go away.
Continuation characters weren't handled properly
