Error description
In Rational Developer for System z or IBM Developer for z Systems the client will throw a error message when using the 'Show Levels' feature under the HLAsm Parser of the LPEX editor. A recreation scenario looks like the following: 1. Load an assembler source file in the LPEX Editor 2. From the client menu click Windows>Preferences>LPEX Editor>HLAsm Parser>Nesting and click 'Show Nesting' checkbox 3. Click Apply 4. This will throw the error and also ask you to exit the workspace 5. If you exit the work space and then reload it it you are presented with the same error 6. You have to go uncheck the 'Show Nesting' checkbox to stop the error from being presented The error message states: An internal error occurred during: "Determining nesting levels for HLAsm source".java.lang.StackOverflowError

Don't use the 'Show Levels' feature under the HLAsm Parser of the LPEX editor.
