Error description
Attempting to import a file mapping configuration from a local xml file or from a published push-to-client configuration will fail for Rational Developer for System z (RDZ) 9.5 or z/OS Explorer 3
Local fix
Encapsulate the xml configuration file inside a zip file then manually import the file mapping
Problem summary
Unable to import a customized z/OS file mapping when using push-to-client.
Problem conclusion
The customized z/OS file mapping is not getting loaded because the code that would import it mistakenly considered the existence of the basic file mapping as having this loaded. Instead, the loading of this file needs to override the basic mapping. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.5.1.1 ifix4 which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
