Error description

• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.5
  
  RDz Code Coverage was being invoked by a unit test application
  and appears to hang.  CC has to be stopped manually.
  
  This works on the RDz client v9.1.1.
  
  Listings from the debug engine are used to build a list of
  executable lines and if the listings are missing the list of
  executable lines are empty.  The changes made to CC in v9.5.1
  are more sensitive to missing listings.
  

Local fix

• Be sure that all listings are available.
  

Problem summary

• Compiled Code Coverage may hang when listings are not available
  for debuggable objects.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code that checks for listings in order to produce line level
   coverage had additional checking added for the situation where
  objects were compiled with debug information, but the listings
  were not found or available.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.3 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
