APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In RDz v9.5.0.1 the following incorrect behavior is seen.

What is done:
User has a PDS member list which shows "xxx ... more files"
User opens a second window using menu item Window -> New Window
User clicks on the "xxx... more files" in the second window

What is expected:
The member list in the second window is expanded

What is observed:
The member list in the first window is expanded

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • When using a new window to expand a "placeholder" object (which
is used to limit the number of items resulting from a query) in
RSE, the Remote Systems view for the original window gets
expanded rather than the one the user is interacting with.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The expansion occurs in the wrong window because the
double-clicking on a placeholder fires an expand event for all
Remote Systems views but only one, the first, Remote Systems
view is able to execute the expansion.
