Error description

• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.5.1
  
  In RDz 9.5.1 implementing the Remote z/OS search dialog after
  enabling the regular expression option to search for an
  applicable member results in a hang.
  
  Reproducible via the following steps:
  1. Right click from a PDS to implement the Remote z/OS search
  dialog.
  2. Enter a Data set member name which exists within the PDS and
  check the Regular Expression option.
  3. Running this search will return as least 1 result.
  4. Select the Add query to My Favorites in Remote Systems View
  option to save this search with an applicable name.
  5. Right click on this saved search and select to Run query
  6. The Search will then run endlessly while not returning any
  results.
  

Local fix

• Selecting the specific PDS, instead of using the "search
  context", works correctly
  

Problem summary

• The RDz client evaluated filter strings of search targets when
  the regular expression was used. The evaluated filters were not
  stored in the saved search queries.
  

Problem conclusion

• The client was fixed to store the evaluated filters to search
  queries in My Favorite nodes of the RSE view when the Regular
  expression was used.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.2 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
