APAR status

Error description

• In Rational Developer for z Systems (RDz) v9.5.1.1 iFix1, when a
  copybook file is changed outside RDz, and its COBOL source is
  then edited,  the modified copybook file is not loaded. Instead
  the cached copybook file is loaded. This may result in real-time
  syntax warnings in the COBOL source for any references to the
  changes in the copybook file.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A dependency copybook gets cached in the client but when it gets
   changed elsewhere, the cached copybook is still used.
  

Problem conclusion

• Because the updated copybook wasn't replacing the cached one,
  incorrect results could show up in the editor.  The solution is
  to add checking so that the new copybook gets pulled into the
  cache if it's newer.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.5.1.1 ifix4 which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
