Error description

  • Sample steps to replicate the issue:

    1. Open Windows Task Manager and add the "GDI Objects" Column to
    be displayed in Processes tab.

    2. Open DOORS and create a sample Module with around 400 - 500
    Objects in it.

    3. Add a new Layout DXL column with the following sample code:
    displayRichWithColor("{\\colortbl;\\red255\\green0\\blue0;}\\par
    d\\cf1 {Test Output...}\n" )

    4. Save the above added column as a new DOORS View. Notice the
used GDI objects of doors.exe (usually it would be in the range
    of few hundreds)

    5. Start HTML Export with "File-Export-HTML" select "Table"
    format and start the export.

    6. Look at Windows Task manager and especially "GDI-Objects" in
    use from
doors exe. You would notice that the number of GDI objects has
increased to the range of 1000s.

    7. Repeat HTML export a few times, observe increase of GDI
objects used by DOORS until OS limit reached, and you will see a
DOORS Client hang / UI distortion with the export not
completing. 10.000 GDI objects limit of windows reached
