Error description

  • In Rational Developer for System z V9.5.1, the COBOL editor
incorrectly flags syntax in table definition. The COBOL editor
should resolve the reference to the data item within the context
of table definition by default and not consider the other
references to the data item. Here is a link to the RDz Knowledge
    Center where it is explained:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSQ2R2_9.5.1/com.ibm
    .ent.cbl.zos.doc/PGandLR/ref/rlddeasc.html?lang=nl

In particular, the last bullet is important in this context: If
a key is specified without qualifiers and it is not a unique
name, the key will be implicitly qualified with the subject of
the OCCURS clause and all qualifiers of the OCCURS clause
    subject.
