APAR status

Error description

• In RDz v9.1 error feedback is inadequate when problems occur
  loading remote resources.
  
  Steps to recreate:
  1. Load to a HLQ you do not have RACF access to
  2. Load finishes (no messages)
  3. File is not loaded
  4. Log displayls the RACF error below:
     !MESSAGE *** RSEClient#command(Allocate): IKJ56893I DATA SET
  xxxxx.xxxxx.COBOL NOT ALLOCATED+
     IGD17012I USER NOT AUTHORIZED TO DEFINE DATA SET

Problem summary

• Loading a file to an HLQ for which the user does not have write
  permission results in a RACF error that is logged but the user
  is given no indication of what happened.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code now allows the exception to propagate up to the UI
  instead of simply logging the RACF error.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
