Error description

• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.5
  
  Description :
  After an upgrade from RDz client 9.1.1 to 9.5, when clicking on
  a filter in RDz, no file in remote host can be retrieved.
  And when disconnecting from remote host, a NullPointerException
  is displayed :
  
  java.lang.NullPointerException
      at com.ibm.ftt.rse.mvs.client.subsystems.
      ZosSystemQuery$RequestLogResult.<init>(Unknown Source)
      at com.ibm.ftt.rse.mvs.client.subsystems.
      ZosSystemQuery.getConnectedUidInfo(Unknown Source)
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Client may generate a NullPointerException in
  ZosSystemQuery$RequestLogResult.<init>() with the stack trace as
  below, while connecting to server. After then, the filters nor
  data sets in MVS files are not operatable.
  

Problem conclusion

• RDz cilent code is updated to wait for the command response in
  the connection process.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.5.1.1 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
