APAR status

Error description

• In Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.5.0, attempts to
  create a testcase
  with zUnit for a VSAM dataset (ESDS,KSDS, RRDS) fails with
  errors like:
  
  In case of KSDS dataset (ORGANIZATION IS INDEXED)
  04.59.53 JOB00739  IEC130I MYKSDS DD STATEMENT MISSING
  
  In case of ESDS dataset (ORGANIZATION IS SEQUENTIAL)
       19  IGYGR0096-S   A "RECORDING MODE" clause was found for a
  file that did not have physical "SEQUENTIAL" organization.  The
                         "RECORDING MODE" clause was discarded.
  
  RDz zUnit does not support VSAM datasets.
  

Local fix

• There is no known workaround at this time.
  

Problem summary

• Attempts to create a testcase
  with zUnit for a VSAM dataset (ESDS,KSDS, RRDS) fails with
  errors like:

Problem conclusion

• zUnit has been corrected so that warning dialog is displayed in
  generating a test case when the test target source contains VSAM
  definition.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.5.1.1 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
