Error description
In Rational Developer for z Systems 9.1.1 and 9.5.0, the @ symbol in an embedded JCL statement causes the content assist menu to split the display. Using the following JCL sample, //RUNJOE1 EXEC PGM=JOE1,REGION=4M //*EQAOPTS DD DISP=SHR,DSN=RDZ.DTCC.EQAOPTS.EXAMPLE //EQAOPTS DD DISP=SHR,DSN=RDZ.DTCC.EQAOPTS.EXAMPLE //GOIN DD DISP=SHR,DSN=RDZ.DTCC.GO //CEEOPTS DD DISP=SHR,DSN=RDZ.DTCC.CEEOPtS(CC@RDZ) //*CEEOPTS DD DISP=SHR,DSN=A123456.CEEOPTS(CC) open the JCL editor and select by right clicking on CC@RDZ to display the Content Assist menu. The editor opens with the theee selections of Open, Browse, and View. All selections display with labels that are split incorrectly. Open 'CC RDZ' View 'CC RDZ' Browse 'CC RDZ' Because of the split, an error is returned, but the error itself shows the member name correctly without the split. The JCL also submits correctly.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The '@' sign is a valid character to use when naming a Partitioned Data Set member. In the COBOL, PLI and JCL editors in Rational Developer for z Systems it is possible to select a member name and right click to see actions such as Open, View and Browse. When the member name contains the '@' sign, Eclipse replaces the @ sign with a tab and the menu action text becomes incorrect. The action functions correctly when selected, it is just difficult to read since the @ sign has been replaced with several spaces. ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
**************************************************************** Problem Resolution: The menu actions have been adjusted so that they will now display correctly even when the member name contains the '@' sign. **************************************************************** The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.5.1.1 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
