APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - PLI editor does not
  handle EBCDIC '3F', UTF-8 x'1A' (SUB) in comments
  
  None of the source code following the SUB control command
  contains any PLI syntax highlights.  The source after the
  SUB is all in black.
  

Local fix

• Deleting the SUB control character will allow the parser
  highlighting to work,
  or use the LPEX editor.
  

Problem summary

• RDz's PL/I Parser treats the (SUB) character like an (EOF)
  character, which causes parse and display problems.
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified the PL/I parser to correctly handle (SUB) characters.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
