When editing COBOL source with Rational Developer for z (RDZ) 9.1 and 9.5.1 the Realtime Syntax Check (RTSC) may show a yellow warning marker for an "EXEC SQL INCLUDE my-include" statement. Hovering the cursor over the warning mark will show that the include has messages such as "ERROR_TOKEN unexpected tokens ignored" and "VARGRAPHIC expected instead of this input". Hovering over the my-include name will show the error(s) to be related to fields defined with the TIMESTAMP(nn) keyword. The RDZ RTSC does not currently recognize the TIMESTAMP(integer) form of the TIMESTAMP keyword.
Unexpected warning marker on "EXEC SQL INCLUDE my-include" statement in COBOL program.
The TIMESTAMP(integer) keyword is not correctly recognized by RD/z SQL parser. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V220.127.116.11 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
