APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) 9.1.1.1, a data set
  member is locked after it is edited with "SQL and XQuery" editor
  and cannot be unlocked while the user is connected.
  

Local fix

• 1) Use the "SQL Editor" to edit the member instead of "SQL and
  XQuery Editor" OR,
  2) Disconnect from the host, and reconnect
  

Problem summary

• The RDz client released a dataset/member lock related to the
  editor input. The client could get the editor input when the
  input instance was an implementation of IFileEditorInput
  interface, but the input of the SQL XQuery editor was not an
  implementaion of the interface, so the client failed to find the
  dataset/member to released its lock.
  

Problem conclusion

• The RDz client was fixed to get the editor input via IAdaptable
  interface which should be implemented by all instances of editor
  input interfaces.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.3 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
