Error description
Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.1.1.1 Description : In the Data Editor, if you enter a line number in the "Jump To" field and hit the Enter key located on the right part of the keyboard (numeric keypad), the Data Editor doesn't jump to the chosen line. Whereas if you use the main enter key it works. So it works with the Enter located : - on a Thinkpad keyboard - on the alphabetic group Steps to reproduce : - chose any sequential file in RSE - create a mapping **EXAMPLE -> tdat - open the sequential file with the System z Data Editor - in the "Jump to" field enter any number -> hit "Enter" on the numeric keyboard (nothing happens, the cursor is not moved to the entered line number.
Local fix
Use another Enter key than the one on numeric keyboard.
Problem summary
The "Jump To" field of System z Data Editor handled the key code of the enter key on a keyboard to invoke jump action, but ignored key input values to jump in the RDz client.
Problem conclusion
The RDz client was fixed to handle both enter key inputs of a keyboard and a numpad to invoke jump action in the "Jump To" field of System z Data Editor. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.2 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
