Error description

  • Rational Developer for System z - RDz Client v9.1.1

    When parsing a CICS statement that is coded inside a copybook,
    The error is : ERROR_TOKEN" unexpected tokens ingored"".

    Steps to reproduce :
    - Define a copybook with the following statement :
    EXEC CICS
         ASSIGN ABCODE(:TAG2: -CICS-ABND-COD)
         RESP(W-RESP)
         NOHANDLE
    END-EXEC
    - Then create a Cobol program that calls this copybook as
    shown below:
    COPY <copybook name> Replacing ==:TAG2:== By ==WW==.
    - A warning appears on the COPY line in the Cobol program
    "Copybook <copybook name> contains the following error : Unable
    to resolve reference to RESP".
