Error description
Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.1.1 Description : When editing a PL/I program twice with the New Editor function, and making 2 different changes in each editor, when you save one of the 2 editors, the modification is not propagated in the the editor (also available for the Cobol editor). If you make only one change in one of the editors, the save is well considered in both editors. In RDz 9.1.0.2 it was a 100% WYSIWYG function : so if you placed the two editors on the same lines and wrote in one editor-window you could see it in the other editor-windows andô no need to save. The example given here is for a PL/I source but please note that all languages are impacted. Steps to reproduce : - open a PL/I source pgm in the PL/I editor (editor 1) - open the same pgm with -> Window -> New Editor (editor 2) - for ex, add a line /* test 1 */ in screen 1 - then add a line /*test 2 */ in screen 2 - save editor 2, the line test 2 is well saved - but in screen 1, the change does not appear
