Error description

  • Version 8.7.0.1 introduces this issue.

    An IBM WebSphere MQ message action such as a Publish cannot use
    a different queue manager to that set in the transport
    configuration.
    It will use the transport queue manager. If the specified
    queue does not exist on the queue manager you will see the
    following error:

    "MQRC_UNKNOWN_OBJECT_NAME, The specified object does not exist
    [MQRC.2085]"

    This issue also affects stubs that are configured to use a
    different queue manager with the Operation > Reply Manager
    setting

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * In Rational Integration Tester 8.7.0.1, when publishing a *
    * message (including publishing reply messages from stubs) on *
    * a WebSphere MQ transport, if any queue manager was specified *
    * in the request for the reply, it would be ignored. Rational *
    * Integration Tester always attempted to use the to use the *
    * queue manager configured in the transport, which could cause *
    * an error. This was a regression defect introduced in *
    * version 8.7.0.1.                                             *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • A fix for this issue was provided in version 8.7.0.2 of Rational
    Integration Tester. The specified queue manager is now used, as
    in version 8.7.0.
