Error description
Rational Developer for System z - RDz - 9.0, 9.1 When opening Endevor COBOL element using CARMA "enhanced edit", wrong copybook version resolved. This problem occurs when Endevor preference is set to use an RDz property group to resolve some/all copybooks. The copybooks expected to be resolved from the property group SYSLIB, are not resolved when library/dataset in SYSLIB is using the <HLQ> RDz "variable".
Local fix
Change library(s) in SYSLIB to explicitly state the entire dataset name (i.e. don't use <HLQ>).
Problem summary
During Enhanced Edit, with property group (order: Property group/Endevor), copybooks may not be found although the dataset that contains the expected dependencies is specified in the SYSLIB. This happens when <HLQ> instead of the userid is specified as the High Level Qualifier in the Property Group's SYSLIB.
Problem conclusion
The RDz Endevor Enhanced Edit needed to substitute the <HLQ> for the user id when resolving the datasets in the Property Group's SYSLIB. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.2 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
