PI33721: CREATING NEW REQUIREMENT CONTAINING DOUBLE-QUOTES FROM RQM/RTC RESULTS IN CRCRW5040E ERROR

Error description

  • Creating new requirement containing double-quotes either in
    Object Heading or Object Text from RQM/RTC results in the
    following error from DWA:
    CRCRW5040E The object was not created. Explanation
    Either another user locked the module that the object belongs
    to, or
    you do not have access rights to create an object in that
    module.
    
    
    
    1. Go to a test case in RQM.
    2. Open Requirement Links section and click icon to create new
    requirement.
    3. Select a view and click "Create Object After".
    3. Enter double quote in Object heading or Object Text, for
    example "test" or abc"test" as you can see in the screenshot.
    4. Click "Finish". You will get the error.

    Steps to reproduce:
    
    1. Go to a test case in RQM.
    2. Open Requirement Links section and click icon to create new
    requirement.
    3. Select a view and click "Create Object After".
    3. Enter double quote in Object heading or Object Text, for
    example "test" or abc"test" as you can see in the screenshot.
    4. Click "Finish".
    
    You will then get the error.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This is resolved in the 9.6.1.3 release.
