  • Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.1
    
    The Define Generation Data Group - GDG - datasets is not
    limiting the number of GDG datasets that can be created.
    
    Recreation steps:
    1. In Remote Systems View under MVS Files, right click,
        select New->Define Data Generation Group
    2. set up GDG name (i.e. MCGRAWK.GDG)
    3. Set limit to 3
    4. keep 'empty' and 'scratch' check boxes empty
    5. click okay
    6. right click mcgrawk.gdg and allocate new dataset
    7. Repeat 4 times
    
    The number of GDG datasets created are not being limited.

    the view is not updated correctly.
