Error description

  • The customer tried to activate a 23 mb OLE object in DOORS
    9.5.2.1 and saw some lag when first double clicking the object
    to go into in-line edit mode. Then once they were able to get
    into in-line edit mode, double clicking the OLE object would
    show a dialog to "Create package" and the OLE is never
    activated.
    
    I also reproduced this in the lastest DOORS 9.6.0.1 version.
    This seems similar to APAR PM33940 which was fixed in DOORS
    9.3.0.4. So I tested with 9.3.0.4 and did not experience the
    problem. I tested with client versions all the way up to DOORS
    9.5.1.2 and did not see the problem. So it seems like the
    problem was re-introduced in DOORS 9.5.2.x.
    
    I tested this with a plain text log file inserted as an OLE
    object that was 23 mb in size and a 27 mb RTF OLE object. If you

Problem conclusion
