APAR status

Error description

  • The following error is displayed in the clients .log file:
    ERROR: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-minInclusive-valid:
    Value '-1254413927' is not facet-valid with respect to
    minInclusive '0' for type 'idType'.
    ERROR: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-type.3.1.3: The value
    '-1254413927' of element 'ID' is not valid.
    ERROR: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-minInclusive-valid:
    Value '-1254413927' is not facet-valid with respect to
    minInclusive '0' for type 'idType'.
    
    Recreation step:
    1. Open the HLAsm Parser (Window, Preferences, type in HLAsm and
    select the HLAsm Parser under System z LPEX Editor.
    2. Import the attached mymacros.xml file in Macros Files section
    for 'User Macro File'.
    3. Click on the Manage button, Macro Instructions tab and Edit
    to the right side.
    4. Select one of the parameters & Edit.
    5. Change the radio button for 'Values', OK & OK.
    6. Click the 'Manage' button again and a error appears
    'Unexpected error parsing file'.
    

Local fix

  • Remove negative values from the macro file.
    

Problem summary

  • The following error is displayed in the .log file:

Problem conclusion

  • Various problems can occur after editing a macro files when ids
    become negative. This can interrupt the workflow of customers
    who add or remove macros and then are unsure why the macro file
    no longer works properly.
    
    The schema needed to be changed to accept those conditions.
    
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.0 Refresh Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
