Error description
Imagine a message tree built from the following simple XML <root> <name>Fred</name> <age>64</age> <spouse>Sue</spouse> <child>Ben</child> </root> Two of the tree nodes displayed in IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT) will be "text (String) {XML}" and "name (Element)". > Open the "name (Element)" node and check "Field is optional" and "Ignore rule cache" and "Accept fields in any order" and "Ignore missing fields in received message" and "Ignore additional fields in received message". Click "OK". > Re-open the "name (Element)" node and validate that these fields are still checked. > Open "text (String) {XML}" and click "OK". > Re-open the "name (Element)" node and validate that these fields are still checked. The fields "Field is optional" and "Ignore rule cache" will have been cleared. Note that all five of these fields are blank to start with, but clicking "OK" on the "text (String) {XML}" field editor clears two of these values but not the other three.
Local fix
Fix up the values or avoid opening the XML node.
