APAR status

Error description

• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.1
  
  If you are debugging a file that makes nested calls then you
  may see an error like the one below when you return to the
  original program.
  Resource '/RemoteSystemsTempFiles/DebugViewFiles/8001_16842/S00.
  
  IBMTEST.SYSDEBUG(1234599).cob' does not exist.
  
  The cache is being cleared when it should not be cleared.
  

Local fix

• In Windows->Preferences->Remote Systems->File Cache uncheck the
  Limit cache size button.
  

Problem summary

• The user is debugging a file that calls to another file, and
  then step returns to the original program. If the cache limit is
  breached at this time, the user will see an error 'Resource
  'exampleDestinationFolder/exampleFilename' does not exit'.
  

Problem conclusion

• RDz will preserve required debug files for the duration of a
  debug session.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.0 Refresh Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
