Error description

• In Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.0.1, Host
  connection
  emulator (HCE) is slower when not using p12 personal
  certificate.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  
  1) Enable SSL on Remote System Explorer connection
  2) Start a Host connection emulator and connect without
  selecting
  a Personal certificate
  3) Observe that HCE is slow
  4) Disconnect and select a p12 personal certificate on the Host
  properties tab
  5) Observe that HCE is faster

Problem conclusion

• The RDz Host Connect Emulator has been changed to allow the SSL
  connection to not be slow when not using the .p12 file.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.0.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
