APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The syntax parsers for the PL/I editor and System z LPEX editor
  are incorrectly flagging a syntax error for the VALUE function.

        OUTPUT_LIST = VALUE(:STRUCTURE_TYPE:);
        OUTPUT_LIST.STRUCTURE_TYPE(*) =

  The error indicates: Unable to resolve reference to VALUE
  

Local fix

• This error does not occur on RDz 9.0.1.2 or RDz 9.1.0.
  

Problem summary

• The RDz PL/I parser does not recognize the VALUE type function
  and flags it as a syntax error.
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified RDz PL/I parser to recognize the VALUE type function.
