APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When attempting to execute Menu Manager actions through the JCL
  editor via the sub-menu (right click in editor) the Menu Manager
  actions are not being executed. The user is presented with an
  error stating, "An error was encountered during the processing
  of the command." Menu Manager actions are executed through the
  RSE view without issues however.
  

Local fix

• Execute the Menu Manager action via the RSE view.
  

Problem summary

• Menu Manager actions for the JCL Variable Substitution are not
  able to be invoked from the Editor window.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.0 Refresh Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
  http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
