Error description

  • Rational Developer for System z (RDz) enhancement to control
    CARMA CRASTART startup tracing.
If DD CRATRACE is specified in crastart.conf (ex.
CRATRACE=DUMMY), then the CRASTART startup mechanism will remain
active to trap and interpret messages from CRASTART. This
implies that each CARMA connection will use 3 address spaces
    instead of 1.

01.Rational Developer for System z enhancement to
enable/disable tracing of CARMA CRASTART startup.

If CRASTART startup tracing is enabled, then the CRASTART
startup mechanism will remain active to trap and interpret
messages from CRASTART. This implies that each CARMA
connection will use 3 address spaces instead of 1. If
CRASTART startup tracing is disabled, startup messages are
not analyzed. but might still be reported, depending on the
       debug settings for rsecomm.log.

In v9.1.1, the debug level is derived from the debug level
used for rsecomm.log. In older releases, it depends on the
presence of DD CRATRACE in crastart.conf (ex.
       CRATRACE=DUMMY).

Comments

  • 01.Enhancement to enable/disable tracing of CRASTART startup.
If rsecomm.log debug level 2 is set in v911, or DD CRATRACE
is specified in crastart.conf (ex. CRATRACE=DUMMY) for older
releases, then the CRASTART startup mechanism will remain
active to trap and interpret messages from CRASTART. This
implies that each CARMA connection will use 3 address spaces
       instead of 1.
