Error description

• In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) V8.5.1.4, Remote z/OS
  Search query returns an empty results set when re-executing
  an existing query with a different name. For instance, create a
  query called "ABC1" to search for PDS members beginning with
  "ABC1*". Then, using the "Edit and Run" action, modify the query
  changing the "With name" field to something like "ABC2" to
  search for PDS members beginning with "ABC2*". The ABC2 query
  returns an empty results.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When the "With name" field was modified in the Remote z/OS
  Search page opened from the "Edit and Run" action, the RDz
  client failed to update the search name pattern.
  

Problem conclusion

• The RDz client was fixed to handle the modified search name
  pattern in the Remote z/OS Search page when the "Edit and Run"
  action was used.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.6 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
