  • Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v8.5.1.4
    
    Description :
    Customer has a blocking error in C/C++ Development Tool (CDT)
    when reconnecting to RDz after an
    automatic Windows lock.
    The error message "Multiple problems have occurred" is displayed
    in a wizard and is referenced to
    org.eclipse.cdt.internal.ui.editor.CEditor.
    
    Steps to reproduce :
    1. Remote session got timeout.
    2. Windows session is automatically locked.
    3. When the user come back, he had to stop his computer as his
    smartcard has not been recognized.
    4. Restart the computer.
    5. Launch RDz.
    6. The error message above is displayed.
    7. This error message is still displayed although user clicked
    on "OK" about 80 times.
    

Local fix

  • A possible workaround is to use regular RDz instead of a
    zEnterprise version.
    

Problem summary

  • Restarting RDz after an error could result in CDT errors
    preventing the opening of C/C++ editors.
