Error description

  • Abstract: Rational Developer for System z (RDz) V9.x Outline
    view may not correctly reflect source location for a PL/I source
    file when using the PL/I editor.
    
    When working with PL/I source using the PL/I editor, the Outline
    view may not be updated with the users cursor location.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The PL/I Outline view behavior changed so that only BEGIN,
    SELECT, and DO statement blocks that contain data declarations
    are shown, when previously all such blocks were shown.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Added an action in the Outline view to toggle whether or not
    blocks are shown that contain or do not contain data item
    declarations.
    
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.0 Refresh Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
