  • Rational Developer for System z 8.5 - RDz - CARMA Endevor RAM
customization for disabling "Bypass Generate Processor" not
working.

CARMA Endevor RAM customization is required to not allow users
to "Bypass Generate Processor" (disable this option in CARMA
User Interface/UI). The following changes are made to the
Endevor RAM CRADEF (P00025 and P01025 constant from N to Y) and
CRASTRS (set default value of N) files to accomplish this.

Description

After RAM customization is done, an error is received on client
when CARMA Element is opened in Browse/Read-only mode. The
browse open fails with the following error:

An internal error occurred during: "Open A".
Parameter 'BypassGenProces'(ParameterId=025) processing error:
Attempting to reset the constant value to ''.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • Setting certain parameters as constant, such as Bypass Generate
Processor, would cause errors when performing an Edit or Browse
from Endevor.

Problem conclusion

  • Endevor client code now properly supports setting parameters as
constant for all actions, including Edit and Browse.

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.6 Fix Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
